About Nu-Vision Optics

NuVision Optics' journey

In the early 2000s, TVs and game consoles were a big part of every youngster's life, and hours would pass in front of the screen.

While this new lifestyle was becoming the norm, a young, talented graduate from the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology and Government Ophthalmic Hospital, Mr. Gopinath, was looking beyond the screen. With a simple philosophy of spot, understand and act, he foresaw that headaches, blurry vision and constant eye strain could soon become part of everyday life as lifestyles changed.

But for Mr. Gopinath, recognising the problem was only the beginning he needed a timely action - awareness and eye care beyond clinics. He understood that to truly make a difference, he had to move beyond textbooks and into the real world, where the problem could be understood and addressed.

And so, he stepped beyond the four walls of a clinic. In 2004, he brought his knowledge, concern and vision closer to the community by opening the first NuVision Optics store in Anna Nagar. From Anna Nagar, the journey expanded to Mogappair East in 2009, Kottivakkam in 2015, and Madipakkam in 2017, followed by Mogappair West in 2026.
